Ethereum (ETH) has recently experienced a retraction, failing to break from a key level. Analysts now predict a possible sideways movement for the cryptocurrency in the coming 2-3 months, before its next significant upward shift.

Ethereum Sideways Movement Anticipated by Analysts

Ethereum (ETH) has failed to break from a key level, retracting 4% as the market experiences a downturn. Analysts predict that ETH may continue to move sideways for 2-3 months, possibly until May, before its next significant upward movement. The cryptocurrency briefly surged 6.3% towards the $2,850 support zone but failed to maintain this level, eventually pulling back to $2,605. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez emphasized the importance of ETH holding the $2,600 support level.

Traders Position Bullishly for Ethereum's Pectra Upgrade, Expecting a Rally

Traders have begun positioning for Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade, leading to speculation of a potential rally in ETH price. QCP Capital notes traders are leaning towards bullish plays, with volatility skewed in favor of calls from March 28 onward. Markets are pricing a 14% chance that Ethereum could hit $4,000 by the end of April, indicating optimism surrounding the upgrade's impact on the altcoin's value.

Ethereum (ETH) Gas Fees Hit Record Lows

Ethereum transaction fees have significantly dropped, with the average transfer cost currently at $0.41 compared to the peak of $15.21 seen over the past two years. Lower fees may indicate reduced network congestion and could be viewed as a bullish opportunity, encouraging new buyers to enter the market. Conversely, high fees typically signal increased activity on the Ethereum network, often coinciding with rapid ETH price increases.

Ethereum Transaction Fees Plummet, Signaling Positive Long-Term Outlook

Ethereum’s transaction fees have dropped significantly to an average of just $0.41 per transfer, marking a stark contrast to the $15.21 high seen in the past two years. This reduction indicates potential bullish sentiment for Ethereum’s long-term price outlook. Lower fees reduce barriers for new users, making Ethereum-based applications more accessible and encouraging broader adoption. Santiment noted that this could be a healthy sign for the network, especially for potential long-term growth.
